I’ve been an avid language-learner since middle school. My focus has shifted according to what I’m doing (which means I have yet to establish fluency in anything other than English), but I’ve dabbled in Spanish, Japanese, French, German, Mandarin Chinese, Tamil, Telugu, and Latin. I hold a certificate in Diversity, Intercultural and Community Engagement, was the Illinois Intercollegiate State Debate Champion in 2017, and am an experienced presenter and workshop leader.
I am a poet and essayist with work appearing in Dovecote Magazine, Offbeat Bride, and on Medium, and I was on the 2nd place slam poetry team at The Ohio Meatgrinder in 2019.
